Skills Group Offerings

DBT Skills are taught in a class format where the emphasis is on learning and practicing behavioral skills.

Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness skills are taught in a series of three modules, each lasting roughly two months. The first two weeks of each module cover and review mindfulness. The following six to eight weeks rotate through each of the remaining modules. All the modules will be covered in approximately 6 to 8 months.

Skills Groups are $80 per session and billed at the beginning of each month, for the month of classes.

Limited sliding scale options are available, please speak to your intake coordinator to discuss options when onboarding.

Clinical Services

In addition to DBT our clinicians are trained and specialize in the following practices:

PROLONGED EXPOSURE FOR TRAUMA

Prolonged exposure is an evidence based treatment for all forms of PTSD. The research shows that of those who participate in prolonged exposure, 60% have a reduction in symptoms (i.e., hypervigilance, avoidance, irritability, intrusive thoughts and flashbacks); 40% no longer meet criteria for PTSD.

EXPOSURE AND RESPONSE PREVENTION

We offer exposure therapy for anxiety disorders, including: panic disorder, OCD, social phobia, specific phobias, and generalized anxiety. Treatment targets internal and external components of anxiety by reducing avoidance and changing behaviors.

PARENT TRAINING

Using a behavioral and attachment lens, our clinicians are trained to work with parents and caregivers of young children - adulthood to assist in modifying behaviors, decreasing conflict and increasing skillfulness within the family system.

BEHAVIORAL ACTIVATION FOR DEPRESSION

This treatment is a systematic approach to target and reduce symptoms of depression (inactivity, isolation, apathy, loss of pleasure, hopelessness). Behavioral activation has been shown to be beneficial for people who struggle with severe, chronic depression.

PERINATAL EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICES

The journey from pregnancy through postpartum can present its own form of challenges including infertility, grief and loss. Effective practices during the perinatal window aim to provide support, relieve symptoms and increase one’s sense of competency and mastery around this unique time of life.

CLINICAL CONSULTATION & TRAINING

Our DBT-LBC certified clinicians offer consultation services to those looking to enhance their DBT practices or program practices. In addtion we offer training and CEU opportunities to clinicians in the mental health field interested in behavioral and acceptance based practices.
